"Got this from the gym that I belong too - don't know why - it's not exactly low-fat, but it's absolutely delicious. The first day I got it, I halved the recipe and DH and I ate the entire thing!"

  1. I've made this a couple of times & forgot to submit my 2 cents worth. The only comment that I can add to the other reviews is that this dip freezes well. Thanx for posting!

  2. Sorry I haven't reviewed before now. I've been making this every other weekend since football season started, at the request of my men. We all love it! The first time I made it exactly as written, and it's very good. Since then, I've adjusted it for personal preference and ease. I omit the celery (hate it) and instead of heating up the chicken with the sauce, I mix canned shredded chicken meat with the sauce and let it chill for an hour in the fridge, mix with the other ingredients, and bake as directed.

  3. Wow this was fabulous! I made an 8X8 pan for a small party, and there was just enough left over for 2 people to enjoy the next night. WOW! I think next time I'd put more hot sauce, more celery {love the crunch!}, and make a bigger pan. This was even better the next day warmed up on pieces of french bread!

  4. This wasn't eaten so much as it was INHALED. I omitted the celery and used blue cheese dressing (the refridgerated kind) instead of the ranch dressing.Definitely a new favorite-- can't wait to have a reason to make it again!

  5. This was great. I used blue cheese dressing instead of ranch and it was better than I think the ranch would have been, but I have an unnatural love for blue cheese. I think I would have even liked some blue cheese crumbles inside. This will sure to be a regular at my parties or even just because.

Tweaks

  1. Since I did not want this recipe to be too spicy, I subbed Sweet Baby Ray's wing sauce for the hot sauce. Great keeper recipe which I will make again!!

  2. I made this last night for a ladies club meeting and it was a hit! I made a few changes though...instead of hot sauce I used a dry Buffalo Wing mix and added a 1/2 cup of water with it to go with the chicken. I don't like hot but I do love flavor and this added just the right amount of spice for me. I also did not use the celery, don't care for it. I also used an entire 8 oz bottle of ranch dressing and threw a little shredded cheese with the cream cheese/dressing mixture plus more on the top. WOnderful. Will definitely make this again. The ladies at my meeting loved it! I even had to give the recipe out.

  3. I would give it 5 stars but I changed the recipe so much. I use one chicken breast(diced),Instead of ranch dressing I used cour cream and added 2 tbsp of butter in step 4 and no celery. This is delicious!!!

I'm a high school music teacher, turned elementary music teacher, who is also a mom. My evenings are busy -- I teach piano and voice lessons one evening a week, direct the youth choir at our church on another night, and sing with a professional chamber choir here in Pittsburgh on yet another night, so I'm always looking for quick-fix meals. I love to bake too, much to the delight of my daughters, but not my husband, who loves sweets, but is very health-conscious! It would be great to have a week of free time to make all the delicious recipes I find here on 'Zaar. Not sure who I'd find to help me eat them, but I'd do it anyway!
