Duties

This position is in the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Office of Privacy, Access, Civil Liberties, and Transparency (PACT) External Civil Rights and Civil Liberties (ECRCL) program. The incumbent of this position will serve as a Disability Access Coordinator and function as a Program Manager.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate across CISA in the execution of disability access requirements for the public and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate across CISA to facilitate and streamline external disability access to CISA products, services, and events.
- Serve as the point of contact for the public regarding questions and issues concerning compliance with Section 504.
- Develop CISA's Disability Access Plan to addresses any barriers identified in the DHS Disability Access Self-Evaluation.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop a portal/online form for public accessibility requests.
- Coordinate the development and implementation of CISA's Section 504-related policy and training.

Telework available in accordance with CISA policy. This is a 1-year non-reimbursable assignment.

  • Must be a current permanent Federal employee
  • Must have supervisory approval to apply to the Joint Duty Assignment. DHS 250-2 Application Form under "required documents" section.
  • Must NOT have any pending/outstanding disciplinary actions
  • Must have achieved a minimum of "meet expectations/proficiency" on latest performance appraisal/evaluation
  • Must be currently at the grade level of the detail. *No Temporary Promotion Opportunity*

Qualifications required:

  1. Strong communication skills, including written, spoken and/or signed, and interpersonal communication. Knowledge of Accessible Plain Language preferred.
  2. Ability to manage numerous deadlines and deliverables.
  3. Strong analytical skills and organizational skills.
  4. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  5. Ability to work with and manage a variety of stakeholders to achieve an overarching goal and associated objectives.
