I was just looking at shavers. How does this compare to the Norelco 5000 series at Target [target.com] for $40? I would think that 5000 would be better than 3000?

I stopped buying Norelco and went to Braun. The Norelcos of the past 20 years all leak your hair all over your chest as you shave, making a complete mess. Older Norelco before the "wobbly" heads never did that.

Correct, except those who don't have a proper job and spend 8 hours a day on TikTok.

O man Phillips still defying the world and refusing to use USBC? WTF Phillips?? Get on with world in 2014. It's been 10 fn years already.

I bought a great shaver from China for $8 it's USBC, shows percentage and lasts like 1 months, except the blades aren't super sharp so sometimes pulls the hair, so I need to buy Phillips again but I hate not having USBC.

But a charging cable (https://www.amazon.com/Charger-Ph...B0D2P9CQ18) or USB-C to USB-A adapter.

Regardless of what model you decide to go with, I suggest to get the one that includes a charging stand. It's very convenient just to put it on a base vs plugging the charging cord after each shave. I think I have 3900.

Proper job, eh? If I get to do whatever I want 6 of the 8 "working" hours and still get my salary, who's the real schmuck? #checkm8

You shouldn't have to recharge any electric shaver after e v e r y charge. My Wahl color coded haircut clippers are good for at least 2-3 trims

While I agree with you in general, that it's not a good thing for the batteries to be constantly topped off, my own statistics shows that it's not too bad either, as people get to think about it. The convenience of having everything charged and ready to go overweighs a potentially shorter lifespan for me, for all electronics I own.

I bought the 3900 shaver about 1.5 years ago and see no signs of the battery detoriation, if it dies in 5 years instead of 6 - let be it. YMMV.

I believe that one at Target is the 5000X. ShaverCheck discusses that one in the buying guide as being more of a 3000 series equivalent.

I normally prefer the closeness of regular razors and shaving cream, but sometimes I am away from home and need something more convenient. I have a simple $15 one that is a simple pocket one (Braun M-60) that works ok. But if I use it 2 days in a row, the shave on the second day isn't nearly as good. And I have to alternate days between regular razor and electric in order to keep a respectable shave.

Was wondering if anyone has similar issues and if this does it for their type of face/hair?
